Darla
~DOB Sept. 2019

endocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI)
& diabetes

Meet Darla!  Darla has lived with her medical conditions almost her entire life and as such she is a wiz at her daily regimen which includes blood sugar testing, insulin shots and special food. Darla's monthly medical costs are ~$200; we know this financial commitment will not be possible for everyone but we also have complete faith that there is a perfect person for Darla who can meet her financial and medical needs and give her a well-deserved forever.

Darla's requests for her forever home include an active human, a secure yard for all the playing and a canine sibling (or playmates) who can match her young energy.

Darla is with Animal Alliance Rescue Foundation; preferred adoption area is Southern California, however transport can be arranged for the perfect adopter outside this area.  Learn more about Darla on her profile page and via her IG feed.

Tuvé
DOB 2018

hyrdrocephalus

Meet Tuvé, the cutest little bat-eared Frenchie boy.  Tuvé's hydrocephalus, which is not visibly noticeable, was only discovered when he started having seizures. Since coming into rescue he's been medically stabalized which has greatly managed his symptoms.

Tuvé will thrive in a calm household with humans who are patient and able to provide consistency. He takes some time to fully trust, but once you're in prepare to be charmed.

Tuvé is available via Austin Bulldog Rescue, and is adoptable throughout Texas. Adoption consideration will also be given to out-of-state applicants experienced with and appropriately adoring of hydrocephalus dogs. Click to email for more information on this sweet boy.

mild vision impairment (one eye)

Meet Poppy, a gorgeous young bull terrier pup.  Poppy is deaf and may have mild vision impairment in one eye, and neither condition slows her down!

Poppy is a happy puppy who loves playing fetch as well as exercising her brain with enrichment activities.  Poppy's ideal adopter will be savvy with bull terriers, and expereince with deaf dogs is preferred, (but at a minimum a commitment to continuing Poppy's sign training is a must). Dedication to Positive Reinforcement (R+) training is required and will provide Poppy with the best opportunity to thrive.

Poppy is available via Do Over Dogs Rescue, and is adoptable throughout Colorado. Learn more about Poppy on her profile page, and click to email for more information.

Koala.JPG

Koala
DOB 4/11/21

hydrocephalus

Meet Koala, a young mixed breed happy male pup.  Koala has hydrocephalus but is living symptom free with a simple regimine of Prednisone (a common steroid) and over-the-counter Prilosec.

Koala is, in most ways, a typical puppy enjoying typical puppy things.  He loves his people, although does require humans who will respect his personal space. No/older kids preferred. Koala loves other dogs and will live his best life with a dog friend in the home.

It is impossible to know what Koala's long-term prognosis is.  He could have a relatively normal life span, but it could also be that the hydrocephephalus progresses and shortens his time.  We just don't know, and the reality is that we never know with any dog. What we do know is Koala is a very special dog who deserves the same love and inclusion of any other dog.

Koala is available via Brave Animal Rescue in Lincoln, NE; adoption outside of area will be considered. Learn more about Koala on his profile pageand click to email for more information.

Dalton

Meet Dalton, a 7 yo male pup of the happy, wiggle butt variety. Daltopn was diagnosed with multiple eye issues which resulted in a recent double enucleation (eye removal) to improve his comfort and quality of life.  Dalton is adjusting well and his loss of vision has not impacted his joy in greeting friends and visitors.

Dalton's favorite activites include running around the yard, playing with squeaky toys and battling it out in a game of tug-o-war. An ideal owner will be patient and help Dalton adjust to new surroundings while encouraging independence and resilliency. His energy and enthusiasm make him a perfect candidate for all life has to offer!

Dalton is available via SPCA of Wake County in Raleigh, NC and can be adoptable out-of-area if transport/pick-up is provided.
